Joining League
How League Works
LA Karaoke League is about performance, creativity, and community - not vocal perfection. Whether you're a seasoned performer or someone who only sings in the shower, there's a place for you.
Not at all. Many members join with no prior karaoke or performance experience.
Absolutely! Many members sign up solo and are placed on a team. It's one of the best ways to meet new people.
Because league takes place at a bar, all participants must be 21 or older.
LA Karaoke takes place on Wednesday nights at The Good Nite in North Hollywood.

League costs between $60-$80 depending on when you register for the season. We have early bird, regular and late registration.
LA Karaoke League is an 8 week competition that takes place over a 9-10 week period. Depending on the season, there are 1-2 "bye weeks" where league is off.

LA Karaoke has a Spring, Summer and Fall season each year.
Depending on the number of registrations in a given season, teams are 5-8 members.
The maximum number of members per team is 8.
Each week has a different theme. Teams perform songs that fit the theme and compete head-to-head for points.
No. Life happens! Teams work together to decide who performs each week, and league rules allow flexibility when members can't attend.

Each member is guaranteed at least 1 solo performance and 1 solo/duo/trio performance each season.
Themes vary from the simpler end: Colors, Songs of the ’80s, Sad/Emo Week; to the slightly more elaborate: Prop Swap, Pen Pals, Heated Rivalry; to interactive gameplay: Clue, The Traitors, Roulette.

No two seasons are ever the same!

Competition
Each week winners are determined by audience vote. During semi-finals and finals, there are special guest judges in addition to audience vote.
Yes, but in a fun way. Teams compete for points throughout the season while cheering each other on. It's competitive without losing the community aspect.
Finals is where the season's top teams face off for the championship, with performances scored by guest judges and the audience. It's anyone's game - the regular season gets you there, but Finals determines the winner.
In addition to bragging rights, the winning team receives a medal, a trophy, and a $100 bar tab to The Good Nite to help celebrate their win.

Additionally there are special community awards voted on by the season competitors that are given out at the next season social.
Community
Absolutely! Spectators are always welcome to come watch and vote!
As long as they are over 21, they are absolutely welcome to come watch, support and vote!
Life happens. Teams work together to cover performances, and league rules allow teams to compete as long as enough members are present.
Yes. LA Karaoke is committed to creating a welcoming, inclusive environment where everyone can express themselves and be treated with dignity and respect. All performers agree to our Safe Spaces Pledge, which asks our community to respect each other’s differences, practice enthusiastic consent, and help keep league free from discrimination, intolerance, and harassment.
Absolutely yes.
We think so! Every season includes experienced performers, first-time karaoke singers, introverts, extroverts, and everyone in between. The common thread isn't singing ability - it's a willingness to support your teammates, try something new, and have fun!
